Job Overview

This position will provide our Corporate HQs with a world-class consistent Coffee experience and will build relationships with our internal/external customers through interactions at the barista bar and seminar area. This will involve greeting customers and employees, brewing coffee and specialty drinks and leading, engaging customers in coffee related topics, and coordinating short educational coffee centric seminars.

What you must do:

• Create the ultimate coffee experience for the customer. Become knowledgeable about all aspects of the coffee lifecycle from bean to cup. Become the ambassador for each month’s coffee charity

• Prepare lesson plans and conduct 1-2, 25–35-minute coffee related seminars a month in the lobby seminar area or designated area. Reach out to internal subject matter experts to either conduct or contribute material for seminars.

• Be a strong member of the Facilities Team and deliver a world-class immersive coffee experience consistent with our brands, values, and educational aspirations.

• Coordinate with third party catering vendor and train staff, who will assist the barista and will operate the adjacent food venue. Develop knowledge of all processes and procedures performed by the catering vendor food concession and catering team. Crosstrain catering vendor personnel as fill-in replacements.

• Attend annual coffee conferences and specialty seminars to keep current with new trends and innovations and share with team.

• Brew coffee and make specialty drinks to exacting standards, this includes espresso-based drinks, cold brew, nitrogen infused cold brew, iced coffee, and drip coffee. Develop the standards & inspection process(checklists) for maintaining and cleaning all coffee related equipment, including condiment area, plus front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house areas. Participate in Board of Health visits and take corrective action as necessary.

• Follow all company policies regarding the handling of money, tipping is prohibited.

• Liaison with the Environmental, Health and Safety team regarding the Barista area.

• Develops specialty recipes and menus for seasonal drinks. Promote special corporate initiatives and special projects as requested.

• Maintains an in-depth knowledge of all Keurig products, supply chain, programs, and services.

• Follows all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards, and safety requirements directed by KDP and the department.

Requirements

• Ability to lead team and manage expectations.

• Possess advanced barista skills and demonstrated customer service skills, Food handling certifications a plus

• Experience developing curriculum and teaching structured seminars

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment in a positive manner with attention to detail

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Problem solving and complaint resolution skills

• Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Internet Explorer)

• Ability to work special events and do regular scheduled travel.

• Ability to lift 30 pounds on a regular basis and 50 pounds occasionally.

• Ability to constantly lift, bend, stretch and stand during entire shift.

• Ability to frequently kneel, squat, bend, and stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motions .
