BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN

Program: DMH/DDS ASD Community Wrap-Around Services

Compensation: $45,760.00 annual salary

Location: Mobile position in North East Region (North of Billerica, MA to NH). Valid license, and reliable vehicle are required.

The Edinburg Center is seeking a Behavior Technician to join it's exciting new team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Mental Health Clinicians, Therapeutic Support Specialists (TSS), Peer Specialists and Employment Specialists. This is an interdisciplinary team with all of the above members, as well as consult from OT, Nursing and Psychiatry.

What You Will Do:

  • Implement, model and monitor progress of behavior support plan and skill acquisition plans based on data analysis under the supervision of BCBA/LABA

  • Collaborate with collateral team members

  • Assist BCBA/LABA in training caregivers and team members on principles of Applied Behavior Analysis

  • Provide direct instruction to person served on the Autism Spectrum

  • Carry out special projects as needed by supervisor

  • Comply with Mass Health, insurance, and The Edinburg Center policies and procedures

What You Will Bring:

  • (1) A BA in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or approved human service-related field, AND one (1) year of relevant direct experience working with families and youth with serious emotional and behavioral challenges or autism, OR; (2) An Associates Degree and a minimum of two (2) years relevant direct experience with families and youth with serious emotional and behavioral challenges and autism, OR; (3) At least three (3) years’ experience utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis in a therapeutic setting

  • Much be a team player with excellent organization skills written, interpersonal skills.

  • Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft word, Excel and Outlook are required.

  • A Valid MA driver's license, safe driving record and reliable transportation are required
