BAMSI RN- Registered Nurse in Brockton, Massachusetts

Must possess a Massachusetts license as a nurse and experience working in pediatrics preferred. A valid driver's license in state of residence and satisfactory driving record is required. Must be currently certified in CPR.

  • Complete formal assessment with interdisciplinary team as required by Department of Public Health

  • Complete developmental evaluations as needed to evaluate and treat children with a wide variety of confirmed or suspected disabilities

  • Develop, write and implement IFSPs for infants and young children

  • Provide home, center and community based services, parent group and individual treatment

  • Support medically fragile children by providing and facilitating family center care and continuity of care.

  • Provide training, support and home programming to families

  • Complete reports, record progress and interpret reports to families and other staff members through Electronic Health Records wherever required

  • Serve as an advocate for parents when transitioning from the Early Intervention program and coordinate with LEA when appropriate

  • Actively participate in case conferences and inservice education trainings as required

  • Attend meetings and appropriate trainings required or as assigned by supervisor

  • Perform duties consistent with agency/program policies and procedures

  • Execute duties to reflect reasonable safety standards. Standard precautions must be utilized and training obtained in areas that constitute risk

  • Perform other related duties as needed or as assigned by supervisor or designee

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing. Pediatric experience is preferred.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license in state of residence.

  • Must have accurate or correctable auditory and visual abilities to observe children and maintain safety.

  • On an infrequent basis, must be able to respond rapidly to safeguard children during an emergency including threat of fire, disaster or imminent danger. Emergency response may require running, carrying or lifting children. Must be able to react quickly to prevent injury or harm to a child.

  • On a moderate to frequent basis, must have the agility to move quickly to reach a child who may need assistance. Must be able to stoop, squat, sit or otherwise position self to closely interact with children. Must be able to bend, reach, stretch and participate in play.
