Produces quality radiographs to assist and facilitate a diagnosis of patient illness by utilizing prescribed standards and techniques. Prepare patients for radiologic procedures including pre and post procedure patient education as needed. Practice radiation safety including utilization of dose reduction techniques as well as patient shielding. Gather pertinent information, correlate paperwork and digital images for presentation to Radiologist for interpretation. Adhere to Company’s policies and procedures in regard to safety and regulatory requirements. Maintain supplies and equipment. Maintain professional and technical knowledge with supporting CEUs. Troubleshoot malfunctions, call for repair on equipment when necessary. Assist during emergency situations. Honor patient confidentiality. Works at maintaining a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with staff, patients and referring provider offices.
