Brockton Hospital Nurse Educator PACU in Brockton, Massachusetts

Position Summary:
Primary responsibilities for PACU (Phase 1 & Phase 2 recovery) staff include but not limited to:
utilize evidence-based research to coordinate training and develop education programs
facilitate professional development and ongoing learning opportunities
support onboarding of new staff and new hire orientation
develop educational material for patients
act as a clinical resource
ensure staff competence, compliance, and regulatory standards to meet organizational goals
participate in quality and process improvement initiatives, including routine auditing
create and revise departmental policies and procedures
1 FTE. 40 hrs/wk (80 hrs/pay period) – days, with rotation to off shifts as needed
3+ years recent acute care PACU experience. ICU experience preferred. Previous nurse educator experience preferred.
BSN required. MSN preferred.
BLS and ACLS required. PALS preferred/required within 1 year.
