Family and Community Resources, Inc. Healthy Relationships Lead Coordinator in Brockton, Massachusetts
The purpose of the Lead Coordinator for the Healthy Relationships Program is to implement a healthy relationships promotion and dating violence prevention program focused on serving youth in the Brockton area. The coordinator will lead a collaboration of partner agencies to ensure that outcomes-focused strategies and activities are developed and implemented. An evidenced-based curriculum will be utilized. The coordinator will also supervise a cohort of peer leaders who will be trained to deliver the curriculum. The collaboration will implement outreach and training events for families and the community that create a framework for healthy living and choices and educate youth and adults about healthy relationships and the issues surrounding dating violence. The goals of the program are to utilize community health education and the full spectrum of prevention programming as a step to prevention and well-being, to reduce the rate of dating violence and sexual assault, and to address racial disparities and health inequities by encouraging evidenced-informed prevention strategies. The coordinator will also help individuals who have experienced the trauma of an unhealthy or abusive relationship obtain resources and support that will place them on the path to healing and wellness.
