Eliot Community Human Services JJ Program Support Specialist in Brewster, Massachusetts

Description

Eliot's juvenile justice residential program in Brewster, MA is seeking a Program Support Specialist with a minimum of two years of experience in a residential or community based setting.

Eliot’s Juvenile Justice programming delivers a residential network for court-involved youth ages 13 to 21, who are in need of placement while awaiting return to court, assessment, or residential treatment. These highly structured, self-contained programs offer a comprehensive intervention for juvenile offenders. Each has a fully accredited school, clinical supports including individual and group treatment, and are operated by trained staff with all components integrated through a Positive Youth Development framework.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution, implementation and coordination of appropriate services and activities related to the needs and strengths of each youth as identified in his/her case management plan. Ensure all paperwork is forwarded to appropriate personnel/departments at the main office.

  • Establish relationships with community-based organizations to broaden and sustain an in-depth network of resources to meet the individual needs of youth and families

  • Assist is facilitating the advocate system and ensure expectations are being met.

  • Solicit input from youth about the types of community-based services, resources, and activities that reflect their specific interests and needs.

  • Monitor school and clinical appointment attendance; enter related data into JJEMS.

  • Participate in the development and facilitation of the Therapeutic Psycho-educational & Recreational Program Schedule

  • Ensure the youths are free from neglect and abuse. Follow all mandated reporting polices

  • Respect the diversity of others by demonstrating and modeling cultural awareness and sensitivity at all times.

Requirements:

  • Must meet the age requirement of 21-years old or older.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work and for the transportation of youth and families to and from appointments and activities a needed.

  • BA / BS degree with 2 years or more of experience working with youth in a healthcare, non-profit, community-based or similar/related setting required.

Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday (40-hours per week)

Two shift= 10am-6pm

Three Shifts= 1pm-9pm
