What You Can Expect

Located in the Maintenance department and supporting site operations across all value streams and multiple shifts. Lead level role that is responsible for leading Maintenance team on multiple shifts. Run shift meetings, assign work and provide technical support as needed to meet production goals. Work with and around hazardous process chemicals, induction heating, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical equipment. Requires use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as personal air purifying respirators (PAPR’s), safety glasses, safety shoes, and proper gowning (when necessary).

How You'll Create Impact

  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members in Maintenance department on assigned shifts.

  • Delegate tasks and provide hands-on support as needed. Lead shift meetings.

  • Communicate between shifts on issues.

  • Provide input to enforce preventive and reactive maintenance schedules.

  • Analyze, balance and take corrective actions from personnel load reports for shifts.

  • Lead problem solving efforts, coach team members in resolving conflicts and achieving results.

  • Assist manager/supervisor in monitoring and communicating Environmental, Health, & Safety requirements to area employees.

  • Identify personnel related issues in department, including conflicts and incidents of misconduct and communicate with manager.

  • Ensure team members are compliant with Quality Systems in all functions.

  • Drive team performance to meet overall site objectives defined by KPIs for Maintenance and value streams.

  • Support operational excellence activities in Maintenance and value streams.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Apply Standard Work, 5S, Statistical Control and other tools as appropriate to establish a stable operation.

  • Effective verbal and written communication across different levels and departments.

  • Understand and comply with regulatory requirements (Quality Systems Regulations, ISO, MDD, Quality Manual, EHS, etc.) as they apply to medical devices manufacturing.

  • Partner with supporting functions, internal and external stakeholders including external suppliers to deliver required results.

  • Able to read and write in the English language.

Your Background

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • A thorough technical understanding of functional discipline is required, which may require advanced training or education as relevant.

  • Experience typically gained through five or more years in Maintenance role, including at least one year at Maintenance Technician level, plus demonstrated ability to lead in a production environment.

  • Previous production experience or experience with good manufacturing practices is preferred.

  • Must be able to work any assigned shifts, including weekends.
