Fortive Corporation Program Manager, Contract Manufacturing in Boxborough, Massachusetts

We are seeking a Program Manager who is passionate about the healthcare industry, wants to get the job done, and has strong interpersonal skills. This role will sit within our Contract Manufacturing team and will be ideal for someone who has previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

You will ideally have a background in product engineering of devices/ instruments, and change management, as well as a desire and proven experience in managing cross functional teams, process improvement and design transfer/manufacturing establishment. You will be able to navigate working in a fast-paced & often ambiguous environment, dealing with a high level of compliance and (FDA/ Government) regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be the point of contact for our clients/customers, coordinating client requirements within our internal operations and engineering teams;

  • Generate plans and proposals for product changes (design & process improvements, cost reduction, client change requests etc) in accordance with applicable client contracts

  • Manage product and project budgets including implementation of product changes to budget and schedule

  • Liaise with manufacturing production team including providing support to the production engineering and QA/RA teams

  • Client facing Complaint/defect and RMA management

  • Develop proposals, project overviews & budget/schedule estimates for manufacturing establishment of new products

  • Project management of manufacturing establishment activities including leading engineering and manufacturing team to establish new product manufacture

  • Support continuous improvement activities in Invetech’s manufacturing processes.

    Key Requirements:

  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and people management skills

  • Ability to navigate cross-functional and cross-organisational boundaries

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or science

  • 5+ years of proven experience in a similar environment

  • Commercial and financial management experience (including product cost and budget management skills)

    Experiences that strengthen your candidacy

  • Medical device, biotech or pharmaceutical experience will be highly desirable

  • A sound understanding of relevant quality systems / regulatory requirements

  • Experience in NPI, design transfer and manufacturing establishment of low volume products
