JOB SUMMARY

The SEO & Web Marketing Coordinator will participate in the planning and execution of digital content activities that support company initiatives and campaigns, with a focus on search engine optimization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Campaign & Project Support:

  • Execute digital aspects of content campaigns, including web and email.

  • Conduct keyword research, developing a targeted keyword strategy in order to effectively compete for and capture high-intent traffic.

  • Act as a project manager for special projects, ensuring timelines are defined, communicating deadlines and escalating issues.

SEO:

  • Make recommendations for SEO optimization opportunities, including technical, on site and off site SEO.

  • Perform technical SEO audits and competitive research, summarizing learnings into actionable requirements.

  • Stay current on SEO best practices, latest and industry leading technologies, sharing industry news, ranking shifts, and new opportunities with the wider organization.

  • Work with manager to build scalable SEO programs, processes and training materials.

Other responsibilities:

  • Participate in search engine marketing (SEM) and paid search activities.

  • Participate in executing AB and multivariate testing activities.

  • Resolve application support requests and issue resolution, escalating to internal partners as necessary.

  • Provide training and support for new and existing programs as needed.

  • Participate in the development and acceptance testing of digital programs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate work and assign tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

3 years+ experience in marketing team with responsibility for digital marketing and SEO

Strong knowledge of website tools (CMS, Analytics, SEO, etc)

Demonstrated experience in SEO optimization

Client focused with demonstrated ability to provide quality service and advice within content marketing arena

Proven ability to navigate a complex, large regional business

Excellent project management and communication skills

Sound decision-making capabilities, demonstrating an ability to create persuasive and compelling recommendations

Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities

A passion to stay current with issues and trends in digital marketing, with an emphasis on emerging technologies

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

Basis skills with various software programs including InDesign, PageMaker, Photoshop, QuarkXPress, Freehand, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong writing skills; ability to work from concept through execution of marketing and communication projects.

Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
