Aston Carter Travel Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

The Global Travel Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the global travel program. This includes implementing and rolling out the travel program across all country locations, enforcing and updating corporate travel policies, and managing a network of global TMC's to ensure SLA compliance. The role involves negotiating with travel partners, analyzing data for cost savings, executing sourcing initiatives, and leading RFPs for Travel and Corporate card services. Additionally, the manager will maintain supplier relationships, establish a risk management program, support visa requests, and provide training on travel policies. The role requires staying updated on industry trends, implementing new tools to support travel programs, and managing sourcing requests for meetings and events. A quarterly internal newsletter for travelers will also be produced and distributed by the manager.

Description:

• Management of all aspects of the global travel program

• Implement and roll out a global travel program in all country locations

• Enforce and update corporate travel policies, ensuring employees comply with guidelines and procedures

• Manage a network of global TMC's, ensuring adherence to SLAs and compliance with our companies policies and procedures

• Negotiate with airlines, hotels, and any other travel partners to establish preferred corporate rates

• Analyze data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

• Execute sourcing initiatives and lead RFPs for Travel and Corporate card services as needed

• Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure best-in-class service and competitive pricing

• Establish a risk management program for the company

• Work with travel security provider to advise on security issues, manage traveler tracking platform, and support travelers in emergencies

• Support visa requests for international travel

• Provide guidance and training to employees on travel policies and procedures

• Ensure quick resolution of issues and maintain a high level of customer service

• Act as advisor for travel-related questions

• Provide reporting on spend, savings, and other metrics to internal stakeholders

• Strong knowledge of industry trends and best practices, changes in regulations or requirements related to travel, such as visa or passport requirements

• Stay abreast of travel and corporate card technology and tools to streamline the booking and approval processes

• Respond to all internal questions and support requests

• Implement additional tools to support travel programs (e.g., Hotel Shopping Bot, WorldMobile, WorldWatch, etc.)

• Manage and provide support for requests related to sourcing meetings and events, as needed

• Establish and distribute an internal quarterly newsletter for travelers with relevant information related to the industry and corporate travel
