NOTE: This is a remote-based position. Candidates can be located in the US Eastern Time Zone, Dominican Republic or UK

About the Role:

You will be responsible for the Global Quality Organization’s (GQO) training program, ensuring alignment with compliance requirements and business strategy. You will conduct training needs assessments to ensure training is provided to the proper personnel in accordance with business needs & compliance requirements. You will create and communicate the Quality training program at ConvaTec and maintain accurate training records, while designing and delivering courses and materials in a variety of formats (e-Learning, in-person instruction, etc.), and developing, tracking, and communicating learning needs to leadership.

Your Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive a culture of training priority and ownership across the Quality organization

  • Design, develop, deliver, and measure the effectiveness of training across the quality organization

  • Reporting and tracking of monthly metrics on training attainment

  • Responsible for presenting the training program and fulfilling requests for training documentation during audits (internal and external)

  • Establish training needs & content for each role within the Quality organization

  • Establish a plan to keep both content and training current for team members including refresher training as needed.

  • Create certification criteria and cadence for recertification of subject matter expert positions.

  • Develop a skills matrix for each role within the Quality organization

  • Oversight of general training curriculum

  • Partner with Learning & Development (L&D) team to ensure alignment between corporate and Quality L&D initiatives

Travel Requirements: Up to 10% domestic/international travel may be required once COVID restrictions are lifted

About You:

As an experienced trainer, you understand and are motivated by the importance of working directly with every manager/employee within your department to ensure everyone embraces training as part of their responsibility. You utilize your strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with all levels and disciplines of your organization. You are a skilled project manager who excels at organizing and managing multiple, overlapping priorities and/or projects to completion.

Qualifications/Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, Learning & Development, or other related field

  • At least 4 years of experience in professional Training and Development roles. Experience within a global Medical Device or similar life sciences organization is required .

  • Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt (or higher) certification is desired, but not required

  • Proven effective presentation & training skills covering diverse audiences and levels in the organization

  • Demonstrated experience analyzing training needs, identifying performance gaps and root causes, and recommending solutions to achieve desired performance outcomes

Working Conditions:

This position can be performed remotely. However, the employee will be asked to be present in the office and/or travel to various ConvaTec locations on occasion for specific events or to meet training needs, participate in audits, etc.
