Talent Development Specialist

The Talent Development Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating various talent development programs and initiatives to foster employees' professional growth and development. This role involves collaborating with HR professionals, operations and department leaders, and other stakeholders to identify training needs, create engaging learning experiences, and measure the effectiveness of development efforts.

This role is 100% remote and can be performed from anywhere in the US.

  • Collaborate with HR and organizational leaders to assess organizational talent development needs and priorities.

  • Design and develop comprehensive talent development programs, including onboarding, leadership development, technical skills training, and career development initiatives.

  • Create engaging learning materials, resources, and curricula utilizing various instructional design methodologies and delivery formats (e.g., e-learning modules, instructor-led training, workshops, and webinars).

  • Implement and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and coaching sessions for employees at all organizational levels.

  • Partner with external vendors, subject matter experts, and training providers to source or develop content and resources to meet specific learning objectives.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of talent development programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Provide individual coaching and mentorship to employees seeking professional growth and development opportunities.

  • Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in talent development and adult learning theory.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor on talent development initiatives, providing guidance and support to managers and employees.

  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant progress, and program outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

  • Performs other related duties and activities as required.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, a related field, or equivalent transferrable experience

  • Proven experience (3 or more years) in talent development, organizational development, or learning and development roles.

  • Experience designing and delivering a variety of training programs, including leadership development, soft skills training, and technical skills development.

  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.

  • Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

  • Professional certifications in talent development, instructional design, or related areas (e.g., CPLP, ATD, SHRM-CP) preferred.

  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), e-learning authoring tools, and other technology platforms used for training delivery and management.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to collect and analyze data to measure program effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
