Ascensus Technology Chief of Staff - Governance/Business Management Executive (Remote) in Boston, Massachusetts

Ascensus has an exceptional opportunity for a IT professional to align IT governance with the organization's strategic objectives and adhering to regulatory standards and best practices. Responsibilities include managing resource strategy and distribution across the organization, supervising the process for creating new roles or filling open positions, handling vendor selection and onboarding, and setting up metrics, service level agreements (SLAs), productivity measures, and vendor review processes. The role works closely with the Transformation Office to monitor project metrics and coordinates with the Finance department to manage the overall budget, resource capacity, and cost management initiatives. Additionally, this role will also administratively guide our Architecture, Change Management and Process Improvement Enablement teams to ensure timely progress.

This position is 100% remote unless located within 30 miles of an office location. If within 30 miles, this is a hybrid position (1 day/week in office)

Responsibilities:

  • Tracks resource strategy/actions/counts across organization, oversees process to open new positions or replacements.

  • Oversees vendor selection process and onboarding of new vendors, engages to establish metrics/SLAs/productivity measures and vendor reviews rhythms.

  • Works with Transformation Office to provide information and track metrics.

  • Works with Finance to manage overall budget, resource capacity, cost management initiatives.

  • reviewing/overseeing capitalization rates, rationalizing capitalization data, and researching opportunities to improve capitalization overall

  • Provides guidance (rules, tools and schools) to standardize project/portfolio management across the organization.

  • Works with functions across IT to establish a standard set of performance metrics and associated targets.

  • Standardizes and oversees process for demand management and BU prioritization working with Development Leaders.

  • Establishes, maintains and enforces policies; ensures that standards are established by functions across the organization (e.g., Architecture, Infrastructure).

  • Establishes and schedules quarterly review rhythms within the organization (monthly/quarterly IT business reviews) and vendor/partner reviews.

  • Coordinates with Risk, Finance and other org.

  • Organization and appropriately respond to external and internal audits.

  • Monitors compliance with company internal policies and external regulatory requirements.

  • Engages in merger and acquisition activities, manages and tracks overall integration plans, timelines and metrics.

  • Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

Supervision

  • It can grow into a people leadership position but is initially an individual contributor.

Requirements:

  • For virtual remote positions, we require an uninterrupted workspace during business hours and an internet work speed of 25 Mbps or better. If you are unsure of your internet speed before applying, please check with your service provider.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or MBA is highly preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in IT, with at least five years in a leadership role managing enterprise applications.

  • Proven track record of leading digital transformation initiatives and implementing large-scale IT projects.

  • Extensive experience with "Office of the CIO” or IT Program Managaement

  • Demonstrated success in vendor and stakeholder management

  • Experience managing an IT budget over $100M

The national average salary range for this role is $200,000 - $250,000 in base pay, exclusive of any bonuses and benefits. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salary offered will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, performance, and internal pay alignment.
