Red Hat Technical Marketing Manager, Generative Ai in Boston, Massachusetts

About the Job

The Generative AI Foundation Model Platform BU and Field Engagement team is looking for a technical marketing engineer/manager for the role of Technical Marketing Manager to join us in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of and is willing to become a subject matter expert on Generative AI Models, Artificial Intelligence, and Retrieval Augmented Generation. In this role, you will help create, drive, and organize the outbound technical marketing activities and assets for product management, engineering, and solutions architects (partner and customer) to drive success for Red Hat Platforms’ products and offerings. This individual will also help engage with Red Hat customers to drive their success and gather product feedback. Primary activities involve hands-on creation and design of product demonstrations and technical content (technical blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, etc.) to help the field better sell our Red Hat Generative Model Platform solutions with a primary focus on InstructLab and related technologies. Experience with or educational background in Large Language Models is required. Experience with Retrieval Augmented Generation, Model alignment, Model Tuning, and other AI concepts is strongly preferred.

What You'll Do

  • Inspire professional software and systems engineers to enable them to solve the industry's challenges today and tomorrow using Generative AI.

  • Collaborate with product management teams to understand and assist with prioritizing feature and solutions definition

  • Work with product marketing to help align outbound activities with market directions and support the roadmap and releases of our offerings

  • Speak and share expertise at user groups, conferences, universities in various locations throughout the U.S. and worldwide

  • Participate in technical aspects of go-to-market engagements like live streams, roadshows, workshops, webinars, demos of offerings and solutions, industry and partner events, and sales enablement and training

  • Collaborate with sales teams where required in high-touch accounts worldwide through close engagement with field sales and services

  • Engage with field and product management teams to understand and communicate customer requirements, expectations, and pain points to engineering product teams, including assisting with feature prioritization and gap analysis.

  • Conduct research to inform awareness of customer needs and competitive offerings

  • Create technical marketing collateral (internal and external) alongside product marketing teams, including technical presentations, whitepapers, case studies, blogs, web, social media, and more

  • Create and carry out solutions demos for use externally with trade shows, customers, and more

  • Work with alliance and ecosystem partners through the alliance teams to develop joint value propositions

  • Create other technical marketing proof points while working with other teams that are specific to performance benchmarks, reference architectures, etc.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in Computer Science.

  • Experience with web application development and CI/CD practices in any language (Java, Node.js, Python, Ruby, Go, etc.)

  • Familiarity with generative AI technology including training and fine tuning of models

  • Hands-on experience with model serving and usage

  • Understanding of and experience with open source projects

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills

  • Strong skills in deciphering and understanding technical requirements and use cases

  • Ability to work in a persuasion-driven cross-functional environment with a distributed remote and global workforce

  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities while working in a highly complex environment

The salary range for this position is $92,860.00 - $148,550.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
