Job Summary
As a Tax Quality Assurance Associate for Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting (TAA), you will be responsible for applying knowledge of tax law to building a test suite of income tax returns according to published specifications and assuring that all tax data moves correctly from one tax product to another.
Activities include learning all proprietary tools required to create and run a tax conversion, working with analysts to understand competitor products, creating appropriate tax return test suites under the direction of an analyst, and conveying program deficiencies found in testing to development staff.
Software development experience (coding/programming) is not required. All necessary process training will be provided by WK.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
You will work under the direction of the lead analyst to develop test returns adequate to test all facets of the tax return conversion program
Identify program deficiencies and communicate them to product development and test corrected code.
Learn all proprietary tools required to create and run tax return conversion.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Nice to Have / Preferred Skills
Demonstrated proficiency in the preparation of tax returns
Experience with Tax Preparation Software products such as GoSystem, Lacerte, ProSeries, UltraTax, CCH Axcess Tax, or CCH ProSystem fx Tax
Prior Quality Assurance experience

Determine appropriate tax outcomes and compare outcomes between software products
Identify detailed, often nuanced, differences between source and output
Proof-read customer-facing documentation and report inconsistencies
Successful working in both independent and a team environment
Demonstrated success working effectively on a remote team
Excellent organizational skills
Strong written and communication skills are essential
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office products and Teams
