Aston Carter Tax Associate in Boston, Massachusetts


One of Aston Carter’s clients is seeking a Tax Associate to join their team and assist with tax preparation, client bookkeeping and full cycle accounting. Below are some of the core responsibilities and key qualifications of the position.


· Fully Remote work schedule (Equipment will be provided)

· Prepare individual, fiduciary, partnership, and corporate tax returns

· Prepare 1040's and 1099's tax returns

· Conduct tax research and document results

· Perform bookkeeping and accounting services for small businesses

· Review client trial balances and propose adjusting journal entries


· Bachelor’s degree in accounting

· One to Three years public or private tax and/or accounting experience

· Solid understanding of accounting principles, concepts, and procedures

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks CPA license, a plus

· Experience with ProSystem Tax, a plus
