Cigna Strategic Marketing Senior Advisor (B2B) – Evernorth – Work at Home in Boston, Massachusetts
We are currently seeking a Segment Marketing Senior Advisor aligned to Evernorth, Cigna's Health Services business segment. This position is responsible for the development and execution of business-to-business strategic marketing in the form of content development , differentiated market messaging, storytelling and overall marketing communications support for Express Scripts Segment Marketing – particularly Public Sector, Federal, Health Systems and Labor lines of business. This role will need to develop strong relationships with cross-functional partners responsible for support of the divisions’ growth, upsell and retention objectives, including partnerships with solutions, public relations, social, events and creative teams.
Content Development: Storyline creation consisting of narratives, sales tools, assets, emails and PowerPoint presentations; executes on line of business campaigns, communications, digital executions (account-based website content), event/tradeshow planning and other mechanisms designed to stimulate interest in Evernorth and Express Scripts as the right health services partner for public sector, labor and federal clients. Requires excellent storytelling and writing, strong PowerPoint, superior project management skills and proactive approach to supporting our internal clients.
Differentiated Market Messaging: Works cross-functionally to help develop and execute on meaningful and aligned market messages, tailored for division clients. Leverages business knowledge, research/data, and insights to optimize market messages and communications campaigns. Supports the development of key communications, including narratives, key messages, presentations, collateral and microsites/website where differentiated market messages are critical to achieving sales, margin and differentiated messaging in the marketplace.
Marketing Communications Support: Manages to completion initiatives that impact or support retention and profit margin goals within expected timelines. Works closely with cross-functional groups to drive measurable results.
This is a business-to-business (B2B) marketing role that requires understanding of B2B marketing, healthcare and/or segment marketing best practices in planning marketing strategies and overseeing tactical execution and measurement. The candidate will establish critical relationships with business partners that are experts in serving these clients and leverage their marketing expertise, along with forward-looking market and buyer trends, data-driven insights and modern marketing strategies, to position the business for success.
Responsible for developing marketing plans, campaigns and materials to meet business goals across relevant segments.
Serves as conduit between internal client, cross-functional partners, and marketing to advocate division needs within marketing and share relevant information with divisions.
Success will be measured by effectiveness of marketing initiatives in helping to meet retention and margin upsell targets.
Strategic thinker with strong understanding of B2B marketing channels and ability to understand client and business partners’ needs and articulate through storytelling.
Demonstrated success partnering with cross-functional teams developing and executing marketing campaigns.
A track record of positioning an organization to achieve tangible outcomes in a competitive environment.
Excellent strong oral and written communication skills.
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Microsoft PowerPoint.
Superior time management and project management skills.
Digital marketing, web content management, experience with content management system (CMS) and website analytics
Previous experience working with internal creative teams or outside agencies.
Track record of exceeding set metrics.
Focus on impact and results.

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 8-10+ years of experience in communications or marketing or Master’s degree with a minimum 5-7+ years of experience in communications or marketing
Experience in integrated marketing communication campaigns, including digital (website) execution and measurement
Experience in planning and executing strategic client event/tradeshow experiences to support business goals
Superior time management skills and verbal and communication skills.
Outstanding ability to translate the strategic communications needs of a client into appropriate and impactful creative executions.
Excellent ability to engage internal and external clients.
Excellent judgment in dealing with sensitive issues and confidential information.
Ability to take direction and to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality or attention to detail.
Ability to work under extreme pressure and strict timelines, and to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
