Boston Public Schools Stipend Opportunity: Behavioral Health Services BHS Project PROVIDE Mentors in Boston, Massachusetts
REPORTS TO: Depending on their licensure, they will report to: Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services Department or their designee or Executive Director of the Office of Social Work of their designee or Executive Director of School Counseling or their designee STIPEND POSITION OVERVIEW: The Behavioral Health Services Department (BHS) seeks to develop a talent pool of current BHS School Psychologists, School Counselors and Social Workers to provide mentoring to peers before or after the work day. The number of mentors needed will fluctuate each year depending on the number of school psychologists, social workers, and school counselors who are within their first four years of employment. This opportunity will occur weekly from September 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025. The stipend will be paid at the flat rate of $3500 for the school year. RESPONSIBILITIES: They will be responsible for completing activities listed in the Project Provide Mentor Responsibilities and Checklist https://docs.google.com/document/d/1WmLXXv5-FLdIlryaOVoMcshM-1p4qcn4LmeOfXwsiVg/edit?usp=sharing that include: Establish weekly meeting schedule with their mentee for the entire school year outside of contractual hours Attend monthly Project PROVIDE professional development sessions outside of contractual hours Share department websites and district online resources Complete data requests as needed including the brief, mandatory Project PROVIDE Mentor Tracking form. Provide consultation in areas of need as determined by the mentee or department administrator. QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED: Currently working in Boston Public Schools; Appropriate school psychologist, social work, or school counselor license. " />
