Boston Public Schools Stipend Opportunity: Audiologist Specialist in Boston, Massachusetts
REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Related Services Department or their designee STIPEND POSITION OVERVIEW: The Office of Specialized Services (OSS) seeks a current BPS Audiologist to complete individual student consultations. The Audiologist will need to be familiar with the students’ audiological history, devices and device use history, and communication access within their educational programming. Additionally, the audiologist will need to be familiar with BPS Audiology protocols and procedures. This is an in-person opportunity that will occur primarily during the five weeks of extended school year (ESY) (7/8/24-8/9/24). It’s anticipated the position will take 5 to 10 hours of work a week. RESPONSIBILITIES: As part of the stipend opportunity, the Audiology consultant will be required to: Complete observation of the student within the ESY classroom (if necessary). Work with the student(s) and/or the Teacher of the Deaf (TOD) to troubleshoot any difficulties with equipment, access or services. Complete all the corresponding consultation paperwork to track students seen. Upload all work into the related services shared drive. Keep a list of students who will require follow-up in September. The stipend will be paid per student at the hourly rate of $56.81 and once the responsibilities are completed for each student. QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED: Currently working in Boston Public Schools; Appropriate audiology licensure. " />
