Key job responsibilities

As a Senior Strategic Adoption Manager (SAM), you will partner with Strategic Account Executives to develop customer relationships and increase the adoption of AB within a named territory of Strategic customer accounts. The SAM, an Amazon Business subject matter expert (SME), uses their deep knowledge of AB to identify customer goals, develop Adoption Plans, and recommend/execute Initiatives that drive user engagement/adoption and help customers achieve their organizational goals with AB.

About the team

The SAM team is distributed across several AB offices in the US. We work collaboratively, with team meetings on Mondays, best practice sharing/WBR prep on Wednesdays. Our team members are collaborative and regularly help one another solve complex problems for our customers. The team operates with high levels of earns trust, autonomy, accountability, and ownership. The SAM role is still relatively new within AB, which creates opportunity for Amazonians who enjoy developing processes, best practices, working with ambiguity, and scaling new ideas to the business while also delivering results.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • 5+ years of B2B or enterprise sales with a focus on hunting new business experience

  • Demonstrated track record of owning the sales life cycle including identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing opportunities to increase customer product/services adoption across a wide spectrum of customer engagement levels

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of B2B or enterprise sales with a focus on hunting new business experience

  • Knowledge of procurement and source to pay processes and solutions or equivalent experience

  • Experience identifying trends and needs to improve an already closed large-scale technology deal

  • Experience proactively growing customer relationships within an account while expanding their understanding of the customer's business

  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $101,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $176,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
