Job Description

As a team member playing a senior role on a Key Account in the US for the LEGO Group, this position is vital in delivering against our strategic, financial, and operational goals with retail partner. Exceptional team collaboration is required in a constantly evolving retail environment. The position requires strong analytical abilities, negotiation skills, financial competence, results-orientation, and networking skills, with responsibilities spanning across end-to-end business functions. Attention to detail and critical thinking will make you a key senior member of our key account management team.

Core Responsibilities

Joint Business Planning - contribute to the strategic framework of the customer business plans, in partnership with the Key Account leadership, by having responsibility for all elements of the operational platform in the Joint Business Planning process, inclusive of financial inputs.

Financial management and oversight: work with various collaborators internally and externally to run the retailer P&L as well as team budgets. Inclusive of investment strategies, and claims analysis & resolution management.

Space Management – Based on strategic insights and analytics, work closely internally and with retailer Merchandising and Category Management teams to sell in POG/ space and ensure flawless execution with each transition.

Customer Demand Planning – partner with market operations colleagues to execute a collaborative planning process with our retail partner. Lead operational processes that enable best in class collaboration between sales and operations team, for example, planning committed volume. Drive alignment between internal and external customer sales plans.

Inventory Planning & Management – Work closely with market operations and supply planning colleagues to ensure scorecard performance related to inventory management. Leverage understanding of factors that impact turns to drive inventory management innovation across all store segments. Accountable for supporting management and execution of the short-term demand signal and order flow. Ensure consistent communication flow & information transparency between customer Planning & Inventory Management teams and the LEGO Group.

This Sr. Manager role is responsible to deliver on customer objectives by managing our end-to-end B2B engagement with a unique and challenging customers. The person in this role will handle multiple business partners in different channels, in a market that requires great agility and flexibility. In addition, Results Orientation (notably on P&L ownership, data-driven decision making and strong planning & operations) and Relationship Elevation (effective negotiation, collaborative planning and increased innovation) are critical to the role.

Do you have what it takes?

  • 5+ years related experience in consumer packaged goods or fast-moving goods

  • Demonstrated account management skills with an insights-based approach to selling that builds effective solutions.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in effective negotiation, thoughtful planning, collaborative inventory management, and analytical thinking.

  • Strong professional abilities, including a solid understanding of business operations, a collaborative approach, effective communication skills, a team-oriented attitude, and a dedication to integrity.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and coordinate activities across multiple functions by applying strong planning and organizational skills, resulting in efficient and timely execution.

  • Self-motivated, creative and results driven with an ability to think critically, interpret trends and challenge the status quo

  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel required

  • Proven LEGO® Leadership Playground behaviors –bravery, curiosity, focus

  • Experience working with large US retailers a plus, specifically within a fast-moving consumer goods company

  • Experience in budget & financial management a plus

New Location Update

This position will initially be based at our LEGO Education office at Boylston St, Back Bay, Boston before moving to a new central Boston office location by the end of 2026. Our hiring teams will discuss this with you during the interview stages.

Compensation

The salary for this position has a range of $139,600 - $209,500 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.
