We are offering a contract employment opportunity in Boston, MA for an Investment Operations Analyst. This role primarily functions within the financial services industry, focusing on client investment management operations. You will be expected to process and confirm trades, maintain databases, and client files, and address inquiries and discrepancies.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the distribution of NAV by custodian providers and manage client communication during NAV delays.

• Maintain databases and client files, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.

• Handle client inquiries and disputes, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.

• Assist with the deployment of operational changes, including the development and implementation of new initiatives.

• Process and confirm trades accurately and efficiently.

• Provide backup support for team leader during their absence.

• Improve technical expertise and gain a better understanding of marketplace nuances.

• Adhere to the 'risk' escalation chain for operational issues and suspicious transactions.

• Execute nightly in-kind processing considering complex internal structures and surrounding context.

• Communicate trade settlements to custodian providers promptly and accurately.

Requirements • Strong communication skills with an ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling

• Experience in training and mentoring entry level staff members

• Solid understanding of financial operations and related procedures

• Ability to conduct thorough and comprehensive research

• A commitment to delivering high-quality work and maintaining accuracy

• Experience with database management and data entry

• Excellent email correspondence skills, ensuring clear and detail oriented communication

• Experience in conducting audits, with a focus on financial audits

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook for scheduling and email correspondence

• Familiarity with the 'About Time' timekeeping software

• Degree in Finance or a related field

• Knowledge of financial pricing models and strategies

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Experience with system integration and software deployment

• Strong client relations skills with an ability to build and maintain relationships

• Comfortable with video conferencing and remote communication tools

• Proficiency in Windows OS and related software

• Experience in the financial services sector, preferably in an operations role

• Ability to provide oversight and direction to a team

• Knowledge of backup technologies and data recovery procedures

• Experience with deployments, including software and system deployments

• Familiarity with job placement procedures and strategies

• Experience with recovery operations, preferably in a financial context
