Thermo Fisher Scientific Sr Financial Analyst in Boston, Massachusetts
Location: Fremont, CA or Carlsbad, CA preferred. However, the manager is open to 100% remote work for the right candidate.
How will you make an impact?
This individual will play a critical role within the Niche Diagnostics Business unit. This position is responsible for partnering with the Business Unit teams to drive revenue growth including by supporting the business unit with insightful and actionable analysis, reporting, and special projects.
What will you do?
We seek an experienced Finance professional with excellent analysis and communication skills as a Senior Financial Analyst. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the position will be based in Fremont, CA. A successful candidate will support the Business Unit team by providing insightful analysis with a focus on continuous improvement for both process and reporting content.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Partner with the Business Unit Life Cycle teams to forecast and analyze revenue, volume, pricing, and profit.
Compile and analyze financial reports to enable the daily and weekly reporting of financial metrics, dashboards and scorecards for the Business Unit.
Identify profitability drivers and communicate findings/recommendations to Senior Management.
Assist in consolidating and preparing Monthly Business Reviews and quarterly reporting deliverables to Corporate.
Contribute to Business Unit strategic planning and the annual operating plan
Continuous focus to improve processes that enhance decision support for growth of both revenue and profit.
Drive productivity and efficiency through innovation, process improvements and PPI implementation
Perform special projects and ad-hoc reporting as required by finance and business leadership.
How will you get here?
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics or a related / quantitative field
Advanced Excel knowledge required, including modeling skills
Experience with Hyperion and PowerBI or similar data visualization tools highly preferred
2-5 years of professional experience in Finance or a related quantitative field required
Demonstrated experience partnering with business leaders to drive results
