The MENTOR Network Sr Director, Clinical Applications in Boston, Massachusetts

The Senior Director, Clinical Applications is a new leadership position reporting to the CIO. We are looking for an IT leader with clinical expertise who will lead us in the development, implementation, and sustainment of clinical applications.

*This is a remote leadership position and location can be anywhere in the US.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below.

  • Provide technical leadership, oversight and support of an electronic health record (EHR) system implementation across the organization.

  • Technical implementations of quality initiatives and the integration, implementation, and optimization of all clinical applications.

  • Lead other clinical application projects that could include pharmacy, medication administration, care coordination, and in-home care services such as behavioral, occupational, physical, and speech therapies.

  • Determine how technology can best serve the clinical needs of the business.

  • Anticipate changes in the healthcare industry and use this information as needs develop to make recommendations on new or enhanced capabilities.

  • Use appropriate governance structures to assure stakeholders have appropriate understanding and input to strategic direction and tactical implementations.

  • In the near term, support the rollout of Point-Click-Care to facilities. Serve as the IT leader of the implementation responsible for vendor management, upgrade planning and execution, annual planning of enhancements, interface implementation and management, and overall IT strategy to best support operations leaders. Work with clinical leaders to implement a consistent implementation (minimizing unwarranted variation) and optimize long-term support costs.

  • Collaborate with other IT disciplines to develop strategies to align where appropriate.

  • Work with a long-term and cross-organization perspective to fairly and equitably address issues and problems. Identify technology solutions that will better position MENTOR to enable whole person care.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform the job.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Related clinical experience in home health, long-term care or related services required. Experience working with individuals The MENTOR Network serves is a plus.

  • Point-Click-Care or similar electronic health record (EHR) experience is a plus.

  • Experience in the delivery of care management services (in-person or remote) is a plus.

  • Leadership experience with governing, aggregating, and maintaining clinical applications
