Job Summary

Join FLIk - a member of Compass Group USA as a Sous Chef I in Norwood, MA, and be part of an ambitious team dedicated to delivering a world-class culinary experience.

This is an outstanding opportunity to showcase your culinary skills, lead a dedicated team, and make a significant impact in a high-volume, 7-day-per-week operation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists in coordinating and participating in the preparation and cooking of various food items for a high-volume operation.

• Assists with planning and creating menus.

• Supports catering as needed.

• Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary team.

• Assists with managing cost controls and controlling expenditures.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of related culinary experience, including 2 years in management.

• Proven experience in high-volume food service environments (restaurants, hotels, etc.).

• Knowledge of food and industry trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, safety, and cost controls.

• Ability to set up and distribute production sheets.

• Strong supervisory, leadership, training, management, and mentorship skills.

• ServSafe or Department of Health Certification is preferred.

• Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel.

• Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
