We are seeking a Sitecore developer to join our team in building high quality websites and web applications to enhance our customer’s journey and enable our team members to better reach prospective students. You should have deep software development, Sitecore implementation best practice knowledge, and the ability to follow leading software architecture patterns. Essential Job Functions:
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C# .NET code.
Provide subject matter expertise of our Sitecore websites providing solutions, designs, and execution on implementations.
Design and implement templates & layouts for Sitecore sites from requirements, designs and wireframes.
Help maintain and improve code quality, organization and automation.
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to build technical specifications and convert them to client-facing applications.
Participate in Agile development processes, follow best practices for software development (continuous integration, refactoring, and code standards).
Develop level of effort for epics, stories and tasks for website projects.
Implement deploying Sitecore infrastructure on Azure.
Create and deploy medium/high complexity layouts and components using C# / MVC / .NET using Visual Studio.
Create pipeline processors to enhance/augment Sitecore functionality.
Create search interfaces using Solr
Develop and configure workflows.
Implement custom facets and personalization rules.
Advise marketing team on Sitecore marketing functionality.
Advise security configuration using groups, roles and permissions.
Diagnose and solve complex problems related to Sitecore implementation.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Ability to identify, prioritize, and execute tasks to meet critical project deadlines.
Ability to work well and collaborate with peers in a team-oriented environment with minimal supervision with experience working on cross functional teams including strategists, designers, developers, content, analysts, testers, etc.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to develop implementation estimates, solutioning, and other content to support proposal development and sales efforts.
Strong software development skills with a solid understanding of project cycles, integrated development environments, and DevSecOps.
Solid hands-on experience with Sitecore XP, with at least 1 project on v9: 4+ years (Required)
Knowledge of GitHub/Git version control and code reviews
Demonstrated technical and analytical skills, including the ability to understand and convey complex technical information in simple terms.
Willingness to work in a co-located environment.
Solid understanding of C#.Net, and associated technologies
Sitecore Page and Data Templates
Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
Good verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
Knowledge and understanding of the Helix architecture
Solid understanding of MVC design
Experience developing web applications including extending an existing CMS.
Experience working with responsive websites.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity, Octopus), automated builds, deployments and continuous integration
C# ASP.NET & Web Services: 5+ years (Required)
Git version control/TFS: 4+ years (Required)
Experience with serialization using TDS and/or Unicorn: 2+ years (Required)
Experience developing client-facing applications, CMS integrations
Experience developing and working with restful APIs
Experience with ORM Frameworks, Dependency Injection, and unit testing a plus.
Certified in Sitecore CMS – v8 or above
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
Experience with agile development workflows and JIRA
Experience with full lifecycle of product development, validation and deployment
Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
Experience with Sitecore and the Helix framework: 3+ years (Preferred)
Experience with indexing and search using Solr: 2+ years (Preferred)
