As a ServiceNow Asset Management Consultant, you will advise our client on ServiceNow HAM and SAM best practices.
Job Description
We are seeking a ServiceNow Asset Management Consultant to function as an Asset Management Process Manager specializing in ServiceNow HAM and SAM. This position will be a full-time and remote contract opportunity. Due to our client, Candidates must be based in the US.
What You’ll Do
Plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between theHardware Asset Management(HAM) andSoftware Asset Management(SAM) user team(s), theServiceNowtechnical development/implementation (ITSM) team, and other stakeholders
Responsible for managing the day-to-dayAsset Managementprocesses working directly with the process owner to oversee the entire asset lifecycle
Provides practical training and step-by-step how-to instruction aimed at enhancing knowledge and increasing adoption of standard hardware and software asset processes through the continued use ofServiceNowHAM/SAMPro and related functions through the performance of items like: formal functional overviews, user manual and documentation creation, field/function/data inter-dependency identification and mapping, UAT test guidance, Platform Upgrade test guidance, etc.
Provides industry standard best-practice recommendations governed by an out-of-the-box objective to assist our client in working towards and achieving itsIT Asset Management(ITAM) maturity goals
Ability to architect, develop, and convert customer's legacy solutions intoServiceNowis a plus
ApplyAgile software developmentpractices for customizations to the platform and applications
Identifies and proposes solutions to address systems, resource, and/or skills gaps required to maintain current and future ITAM states
Assists in incident analysis, enhancementrequirements analysis/demand creation, test case creation and execution, and basic report creation
What You'll Need
Required:
4+ years of experience
2+ years ofServiceNow
Hardware Asset Management(HAM) experience
Software Asset Management(SAM) experience
ServiceNowHAMandSAMexperience
ITAM experience
Must have great communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work remotely and independently
Preferred:
- CurrentServiceNowcertifications (CSA, etc.)
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
