This Senior Quality Improvement Consultant will be responsible for:
Consulting, educating and professionally supporting department and hospital‑wide quality improvement programs, projects and initiatives.
Educating and advising on methods, tools and techniques for monitoring and assessing quality of care and compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
Facilitates, coordinates and provides project management for QI teams, strategic planning sessions and other organizational meetings as needed, working as a bridge between the aims of clinicians and the requirements of application specialists to that work products are well defined and efficiently delivered.
Providing support for implementation and evaluation of department-based and hospital programs, serving as program manager for both department and hospital-wide projects.
Designing and administering customer surveys and analyzing, interpreting and presenting results.
Developing agendas, implementation plans, quality dashboards, proposals and other relevant materials to support project teams.
Organizing and coordinating team meetings and updating departmental leadership on current performance and discuss new QI initiatives.
To qualify, you must have:
A Master’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Management or a closely related field and 4 years of data management experience in a clinical setting is required.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience in data management may substitute.
Knowledge of basic QI tools and interpretation via run or control chart preferred.
The ability to use a variety of improvement and redesign tools and techniques such as process mapping, root cause analysis, design and prototyping, rapid cycle testing and change management.
The analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring the use of scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and in‑depth, experienced‑based knowledge.
Work requires effective communication skills in order to persuade and negotiate with others in the department and hospital-wide on important matters.
