Senior Property Accountant

Senior Property Accountant

$70,000 - $80,000

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create monthly budget reports

  • Calculate monthly expense and income accruals

  • Generate monthly budget reports

  • Analyze, investigate and explain variations between budget and actual

  • Prepare supporting reports and schedules

  • Prepare information for year-end audits

  • Gather required schedules and statements that support balance sheet accounts and income statement accounts

  • Work with external auditors

  • Review weekly Accounts Payable check runs

  • Perform monthly journal entries

  • Reconcile bank statements

  • Record monthly mortgage activity

  • Reconcile general ledger with subsidiary ledgers such as A/P, A/R

  • Review weekly accounts payable reports to verify invoices

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

  • 3 plus years of relevant experience

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)

  • Understanding of Jenark, Real Page or Strong Room preferred
