The Oracle Health Applications and Infrastructure (OHAI) Abilities Center team enables non-function “Abilities” testing. Our mission is to improve the delivery of health care by creating a culture where the Abilities are the focus throughout the Oracle Health solution lifecycle. We believe that the Abilities are foundational to achieving the healthcare transformation that is on the horizon and are looking for a Senior Member of Technical Staff to join our DevOps team to design, develop, solve and/or test/QA software for our Millennium testing platform.

What?

With your strong technical skills, research and analytical capabilities, and demonstrated ability to get the correct things done quickly and effectively, you will work with a team of software engineers to design, develop, debug, and enhance tools and services used by the OHAI Abilities Center organization and Oracle Health product teams to complete non-functional/abilities testing. These tasks call for someone who can recommend data-driven changes, balance speed and quality with iterative and incremental improvements, and infuse a culture of being proactive within the team.

  • Design and build customer-facing testing services that are scalable, reliable, and performant.

  • Enhance existing software architecture and/or suggest improvements to the architecture.

  • Lead by example, influence, and empowerment. Mentor software developers and members of technical staff

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in computer science, or equivalent

  • 3-5 years of developing and shipping enterprise distributed and/or cloud native systems.

  • Strong grasp of system design fundamentals and distributed systems architectural best practices

  • Demonstrated ability to write great code in Java, Python, or similar OO languages.

  • Experience with web service design.

  • Strong desire to make an impact and thrive in collaborative and energetic environments.

  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts verbally and through design aspects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of database and Linux system performance data analysis

  • Experience with OCI or other cloud platforms

  • Experience troubleshooting issues impacting large scale service architecture and application stacks.

  • Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail.

  • Experience with statistical analysis

  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) languages, preferably Terraform

  • Previous experience with OHAI Millennium EMR development or Alva service development

  • Experience with DevOps tools – Jenkins, Chef, Ansible,

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

Canada: Hiring Range from $66,700 to $145,000 CAD per annum

US: Hiring Range: from $74,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

This job requires proficiency in the English language.
