What You'll Do...

To manage the Statutory Reporting COE team, including providing guidance on strategy, processes, escalation of issues, and resolution of issues. Will be responsible for planning, monitoring and managing issues resolution for the external audits and statutory reporting across all Iron Mountain countries. Will work directly with the Statutory Reporting COE team and the Regional/Cluster Controllers to ensure timely delivery of statutory reports and external audits. Will also communicate and collaborate with our external auditors to ensure the timely completion of the statutory audits. The role will have frequent interaction with management personnel at all levels of our organization, including Enterprise FP&A, Regional/Country Business Partners, Tax, Treasury and each of our international business units in order to ensure the accuracy of information included in each of our financials. Will also maintain senior management abreast of status of reports and any major issues escalated, in particular those that impact US GAAP.

  • Responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination and monitoring of the statutory audits as well as managing issues resolution. This role will work closely with the Regional/Cluster Controllers and in-country teams as well as our finance shared services outsource provider when supporting the statutory audits of each of the countries.

  • Responsible for ensuring timely tracking and completion of reports while working with the Regional/Cluster Controllers and in-country teams.

  • Responsible for maximizing the use and training of the statutory reporting platform to ensure consistency across the preparation of the statutory reports.

  • Responsible for developing efficient processes while consulting the experience of the local teams.

  • Responsible for ensuring that team members follow consistent procedures for the preparation of statutory reports and the provision of PBC items to auditors.

  • Responsible for escalating material issues that would impact the Company’s consolidated financial reporting (USGAAP) to the Controllership team in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for timely communication of significant transactions or issues during the period with our external auditors to ensure timely resolution of the accounting conclusions based on the local statutory guidance.

  • Responsible for ensuring the tracking of local GAAP to US GAAP adjustments and ensuring entries are recorded in a timely manner that is in line with the Company’s policy.

  • Responsible for ensuring that all statutory reports are completed by the required deadlines.

  • Responsible for completing all statutory reports within budget and/or escalating overruns in a timely manner while working with the Regional/Cluster Controllers and in-country teams.

  • Responsible for developing Subject Matter Experts (“SMEs”) in areas of statutory reports to ensure consistency and efficiency in processes.

  • For any new US GAAP guidance changes, you will work with our consultants to gather the necessary information and ensure there is understanding of local GAAP implications and coordinate adjustments, as necessary.

  • Responsible for ensuring that each countries’ systems are in compliance with statutory requirements and Local GAAP entries are maintained within the system on a quarterly basis at a minimum. You will support any system updates required to comply with the applicable guidance and to generate the US GAAP to local GAAP adjustments, as required.

  • Responsible for staying up-to-date with the Global Accounting Policies.

  • Responsible for collaborating with all of our partners, including our Tax group to track legal entity liquidation plans, ensure positive partnership with EY for local tax requirements, and any other related statutory reporting requirements.

  • Assist in maintaining the quality of our accounting practices and policies and ensuring that we are consistent across our business units with respect to the application of key judgments, assumptions, reviews and or procedure/protocols as it relates to US GAAP adjustment and implications to Local GAAP.

  • Assist with deep-dive issue resolution of targeted issues that have been identified for which the Country or Regional Controllership or Outsource providers need support due to turnover, knowledge-gap or skill set in order to effectively and expeditiously close down issues identified as part of close or statutory report process.

  • Responsible for building relationships with all partners including revenue, tax, treasury, legal, human resources, BPO, finance, external auditors, etc. to ensure a smooth reporting process and that all Provided-by-client (“PBC”) items are accurately and timely sourced.

  • Responsible for maintaining constant communication with all stakeholders including external auditors, Tax, Treasury, Legal, A2C, Human Resources, BPO, senior management, etc.

Requirements:

  • CPA Preferred

  • 10+ years’ accounting experience preferably in a multinational environment Minimum of 3 years working within a big four or mid-tier public accounting firm

  • Have worked in matrix a in environment reporting public multinational enterprise organization

  • Experience in a udit understanding and knowledge In-depth

  • Broad and comprehensive understanding of key functional areas relevant to the business.
