About the role:

As a member of Takeda’s HAE Marketing Team, you will contribute to the HAE community by creating and elevating educational platforms. Our goal is to ensure HAE patients understand and recognize the impact of HAE – and play an active role in disease management. You will understand the unmet needs of HAE patients to develop a comprehensive educational strategy. You will be own all unbranded educational strategy, messaging, and tactics – and will consult on branded educational strategy, messaging and tactics. You will also be the connector with patient community activities, including working with the patient advocacy organization, sponsorships, and the Branded and Unbranded patient speakers and consultants.

As part of the US HAE Franchise, you will report to the Patient Strategy Lead and partner with patient services, policy and advocacy, market access, sales and analytics.

How you will contribute:

  • Understand unmet needs of HAE patients to develop educational strategy.

  • Responsible for unbranded educational strategy, messaging, and tactics – inclusive of patient experience map, webinars, and core unbranded pieces

  • Collaborate with Patient Omnichannel lead and Unbranded Digital Manager to determine unbranded ecosystem including content and channel – and weigh in on tactical execution.

  • Consultant on branded educational strategy, messaging and tactics.

  • Manage patient speaker bureau – Managing patient stories and being daily lead for patient speaker participation within the Patient Speaker Program

  • Manage execution of year-long calendar of patient focused sponsorships – inclusive of a bi-annual live HAEA Patient Summit event

  • Expertise in development of multi-channel marketing programs (live events, patient programs, and regional/national patient organization events)

  • Pursue new opportunities to grow and foster connection with the HAE patient community

  • Be a Takeda lead in project management with agency partners

  • Ensure all resources and programming are according to Takeda Compliance, Legal and Regulatory requirements

  • Work with company partners including: Patient Services, Policy and Advocacy, Sales, Medical, Regulatory, Legal/Compliance & Market Insights

  • Budget management

  • Attendance at patient conferences and local patient community events

  • Other activities as designated by the Marketing team to support the successful execution of internal and field-based projects

  • Travel Requirements • Travel 20%, including some weekends

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience (Marketing, Sales, Commercial Operations, Patient Organization, Agency, Market Research, and Analytics). MBA is a plus.

  • Experience working in a Marketing role within the Rare/Orphan disease space an advantage

  • Agency management experience (briefing/execution/budgetary oversight) preferred

  • Exhibits patient-focused mindset when working with others

  • Daily decisions regarding tactical execution of brand are expected

  • Work in a team – must take accountability for individual work and be able to influence others

  • Must have ability to be creative, flexible and adapt quickly to Takeda’s rapid pace

  • Communicate goals and results to a variety of audiences

  • Ability to partner with Sales staff
