About the role:

As part of the Patient Value and Access team, you will report to the Head of Global Value and Access; Hematologic Malignancies, Business Development and Pipeline and work with Commercial and R&D functions as well as with regions and LOCs.

How you will contribute:

  • Partner with the Hematological Malignancies PVA Access Leads to design and execute global payer research to understand primary value drivers and requirements for early access and sustainable access across geographies/indications.

  • Contribute the payer evidence strategy (by payer archetype) across assets and its incorporation into the asset evidence generation plan.

  • Work with a cross-functional team to develop core payer tools (e.g., global value dossiers, payer objection handler) to enable reimbursement submissions across the globe.

  • Optimize regional/country pull-through by developing and delivering training, mock negotiations, and best-practice sharing workshops

  • Partner with Pricing on development of the global pricing strategies for Takeda Oncology brands through design/execution of pricing research and analysis/modelling of multiple pricing and contracting options.

  • Provide input into commercial and R&D strategies to differentiate products and maximize product lifecycle value through critical pricing and access assessments.

  • Assist Pipeline and BD assessment in data gathering, analysis, and reporting, thereby enhancing the depth and breadth of our evaluation capabilities.

  • Support IRA and JHTA internal readiness initiatives as needed.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 4+ years’ experience in healthcare consulting or biopharmaceuticals industry

  • Minimum of 1+ years’ experience in pricing, health policy, public health, health economics, and/or international affairs

  • Understanding of the global payer environment and some knowledge of US Medicare, commercial and Federal payers; along with an understanding of ex-US payer landscape including HTA trends and guidance (NICE, IQWiG, PBAC, etc…) – such as reimbursement methodologies, pricing/reimbursement authorities’ decision-making process, and current reimbursement issues

  • Knowledge of/experience in health technology assessment tools, methods and filings, payer and global pricing research, price modelling and cost-effectiveness studies

  • Prior PMA/HE regional or global experience

  • Knowledge of all phases of drug development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Oncology

  • Advanced / graduate degree (PhD, MPH, MPP, MBA)

Travel Requirements

  • 10% Domestic and/or International travel required.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$133,000.00 - $209,000.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
