About the role:

You will sit within the Strategic Insights and Analytics (SI&A) team of the U.S. Plasma-derived Therapies (PDT) Business Unit (BU), reporting to the Forecasting Lead.

Your primary responsibility will be to support demand forecast development for marketed products as well as pipeline opportunities in close collaboration with cross-functional teams. You must understand customer insights and when/how to collaborate with other groups such as Marketing, Competitive Intelligence (CI), and Market Research for data triangulation and building of objective forecast models. We ask that you have extensive experience with analytical modeling, insights generation, and impactful storytelling. You will have the opportunity and accountability to create data-driven narratives for senior leadership, that influence organizational outcomes. You will report to the Associate Director, Forecasting & Strategy Lead, Plasma-Derived Therapies.

How you will contribute:

  • Manage and support all aspects of development of demand forecasts for marketed products as well as pipeline opportunities for the PDT portfolio, to support all standard business and financial planning processes (annual plans, mid/long-range planning, business development opportunities, lifecycle management)

  • Collaborate with the PDT SI&A team to develop required forecast inputs and document assumptions

  • Identify and conduct research on key questions and analytics necessary to develop deeper understanding of market and product performance, to support forecast development

  • Deliver presentations leveraging analytics and insights to establish the forecast narrative and enable strategic decision-making

  • Represent the SI&A team in various regular and ad hoc performance reviews and build our reputation among cross-functional teams through transparent thinking, analysis, and presentations

  • Collaborate with, influence, and advise cross-functional partners (such as pricing, finance, market access, commercial, global strategy, NPP) to operationalize demand modeling at product and market levels

  • Coordinate translation of demand forecasts into necessary inputs for downstream collaborators (such as monthly targets for supply chain, marketing/sales teams etc.)

  • Develop and present regular updates to leadership and cross functional partners (such as PDT Finance, PDT BU leadership)

  • Manage external partnerships with 3rd party vendors whenever necessary, to support team outcomes

  • Train, guide, and mentor all collaborators to ensure business continuity and continuous improvement

  • Provide subject matter expertise in research, analytical, and forecasting methodologies

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelors (BA/BS) degree in an analytical or sciences field; advanced degree (MS, MBA, MD, PhD) preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in Pharma or Biotech industry in majority forecasting/analytics roles; experience in rare diseases and therapies with multiple indications highly preferred

  • Knowledge of forecasting principles, practices, and tools

  • Advanced MS Excel modeling skills, proficiency with MS PowerPoint; Tableau experience is a major plus

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry practices and U.S. healthcare environment

  • An ability to manage/lead multiple projects under tight timelines

  • Strong communication/presentation skills, including delivering concepts and ideas in a clear, succinct, and organized manner

  • Prior experience presenting findings and possible effects to executive leadership

  • Ability to build and foster relationships in a matrix environment, where ability to influence without authority is important

  • Experience with business modeling and financial planning

  • Experience in market research and product strategy development

  • Understand market trends, financial data, and customer needs and assess new information quickly

  • Travel up to 10% to attend internal meetings; Overnight travel may be required
