LogMeIn Senior Financial Analyst in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Description

The Sr Financial Analyst supports the Director of FP&A, GTM in providing SaaS reporting and performance analysis. Regular reporting would include ARR and revenue performance, analysis of variance drivers, and initiative tracking. The role will work cross functionally with members from Sales, Marketing, Business Operations, and other areas of FP&A to provide forecasts and insights of business performance.

This position is ideal for someone who is entrepreneurial, proactive, and works well within a matrix environment. The right candidate collaborates well among all levels of leadership, demonstrating effective communication and presentation skills. This person should be self-motivated, highly analytical, and driven by the desire to help the business succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares financial reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis to provide metrics that reflect the health of the business.

  • Builds and adapts financial models to improve accuracy of reporting and create accountability of underlying business drivers

  • Delivers variance and trend analysis to support the forecast process and contributes to business or product insights

  • Performs adhoc financial modeling and reporting to support strategic business decisions

  • Participates heavily in the annual planning process, building a baseline model and supporting initiative modeling

  • Collaborates with sales, care, marketing, and product to ensure alignment and on drivers and insights

  • Understands the data, data sources, and backend logic to reconcile discrepancies and help identify areas to improve data accuracy. Sequel experience is a plus

  • Deep understanding of KPIs is critical, especially ARR as the leading financial metric

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in FP&A, investment analysis, or strategic planning; SaaS experience preferred

  • Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or similar field

  • Capable of working in a remote centric, dynamic, and fast-changing environment

  • Financial modeling: High proficiency with Excel, ability to build thoughtful, complex, and auditable financial models

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with all levels of employees and present to senior executives

  • Proficiency in tools such as Tableau, NetSuite, Salesforce, and Oracle Hyperion are a plus
