Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant

Job Duties:

Responsible for preparation of client financial reports in accordance with US GAAP, IFRS and NAIC standards. Duties include:

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly client financial statements and consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards;

  • Conduct monthly and quarterly data reconciliation for parent company;

  • Support preparation of consolidated financial statements;

  • Review, reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts;

  • Understand investments and determine investment objectives;

  • Manage reporting differences between US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards;

  • Research accounting/tax matters and guidance issues;

  • Prepare quarterly and year-end audit schedules and tax papers;

  • Ensure compliance with SOX program and assist with annual walkthroughs and testing;

  • Interpret legal documents to extract applicable accounting information;

  • Analyze operating cash requirements;

  • Calculate and propose cash distributions;

  • Monitor cash levels and cash flow requirements;

  • Collaborate with portfolio managers and investment teams to provide financial insights and support investment strategies;

  • Manage preparation and filing of regulatory reports including SEC filings and compliance documentation;

  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with financial controls, policies and procedures;

  • Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements and ensure organizational compliance;

  • Collaborate with external auditors during annual audit process and address audit findings or recommendations;

  • Assist with development and implementation of financial systems and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy;

  • Prepare financial information in compliance with IFRS requirements for presentation of accounting statements;

  • Review investment level financial information; and

  • Work on financial documents including statements using advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts and ensure financial reports comply with US GAAP and IFRS standards.

Telecommuting from anywhere in the United States permitted.

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance or related field and 3 years of senior financial accounting experience.

Experience must include:

  • 3 years of experience with US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards including researching accounting policies and financial reporting requirements;

  • 3 years of experience using financial software and tools such as financial reporting software and advanced Microsoft Excel functions including: VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts;

  • 3 years of experience with general ledger systems.

Experience may be gained concurrently and may be gained before, during or after’s Master’s degree.

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Salary range is expected to be between

$68,475.00 USD - $114,125.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
