Position Summary

This position primarily supports the Bank’s strategic projects by providing both database knowledge and development both at an architecture level and a database coding / ETL level through the analysis and understanding of business and technical requirements. The position supports day-to-day change requests for new and existing processes as assigned by the supervisor.

This role will have a hybrid work schedule in our Boston office in accordance with the Bank’s Hybrid Work Program.

Primary Responsibilities

· Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into the Bank's data warehouse, data marts.

· Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

· Create and maintain documentation for ETL processes, including source-to-target mappings, transformations, and workflows.

· Perform ETL performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting to ensure efficient data processing primarily using Informatica PowerCenter.

· Collaborate with database developers and administrators to ensure proper data governance and quality standards are maintained.

· Support data modeling activities and ensure alignment of ETL processes with the overall data architecture.

· Participate in testing, debugging, and quality assurance of ETL processes to meet business requirements.

· Other duties, as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills Required

· Extensive background with Informatica PowerCenter 9.1 and above designing and developing Informatica workflows using various transformations such as filters, expressions, lookups, joiners, routers, SQL overrides, etc.

· Extensive experience building complex mappings using relational database and other non-relational sources like Flat files, XML files, JSON files .

· Experience using the Informatica Meta-Data Manager tool for data lineage graphical representation.

· Experience using the Informatica REST API integration tools.

· Experience using Tidal enterprise scheduler with the informatica adapter for building integrated scheduled ETL processes.

· Experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services IICS components - application integration, using SOAP/REST APIs, APIs leveraged to integrate multiple systems or databases.

· Experience Integrating data to/from on-premises database and cloud-based database solutions like snowflake using Informatica Intelligent cloud services.

· Strong knowledge of database design principles and working with data modeling tools.

· Extensive experience with database development creating and debugging stored procedures, views, advanced SQL skills sets using joins, cursors, cubes and other types of SQL functions, cross server queries, database optimization and tuning.

· Experience with creating SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

· Experience with IBM ACE creating REST API’s a strong plus.

· Effectively communicate technical solutions for business requirements.

· Ability to both work as part of a team and as an individual contributor.

Education

· A Degree in Information Systems / Information Technology preferred, but not required. Relevant work experience is required.

Preferred Experience

· Minimum of 5-7 Years Informatica PowerCenter development.

· Minimum 3-5 years of other ETL and SQL development using SQL Server.

· Experience in a financial services environment.

· Experience in a highly regulated environment.
