Overview

Publicis Sapient is looking for a Senior Director of Data Science & AI - Financial Services to lead top-notch technologists to enable real business outcomes for our Financial Services clients.

The Senior Director of Data Science at Publicis Sapient is a senior leadership role responsible for spearheading AI initiatives within the Financial Services space. This position involves identifying AI opportunities, defining hypotheses, mentoring teams, and guiding the implementation and validation of data science models. The role is pivotal in leveraging AI and machine learning to transform, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of digital transformation in the Financial Services industry.

Responsibilities

• Define hypotheses and potential models for AI applications

• Mentor and guide the data science team towards implementation and validation of models

• Take models to production at scale, ensuring they meet business needs

• Define evaluation metrics and success criteria for AI solutions

• Help establish rigorous standards in machine learning and statistical analysis to ensure consistency across projects - contributing to the advancement of data science as a capability

• Provide internal expertise and point of view on data science applications with an ability to apply techniques and learnings from past projects to new projects

• Solve some of today’s most complex customer issues by designing, coding and implementing machine learning and AI solutions for our clients, or in support of our AI platforms

Qualifications

• You're passionate about solving real world problems through the application of machine learning and AI

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

• Strong background in traditional machine learning (ML)

• Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) solutions

• Knowledge of Visual Language Models, LLMs, and GenAI is a plus

• Proven experience in taking models to production at scale

• Strong understanding of capital markets, including trading & risk management, wealth management and investment management

• Broad awareness of data science concepts including, linear regression, logistic regression, correlation variance, standard dev, dimensionality reduction, unsupervised learning, parameter tuning, cross-validation, boot strapping, forecasting and Imputation

• Hands on evaluation experience with understanding of data exploration, model comparison, model evaluation, insights/interference, and data Interpretation / insight analysis

• The ability to identify, shape and support business development around data science/AI-driven opportunities

Additional information

Base Pay Range: $220,000 - 300,000. The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Publicis Sapient. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself
