The Senior Applications Developer will be responsible for overseeing data collection, storage, and management, implementing data privacy policies, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.

Responsibilities will include designing, coding, testing, modifying, and implementing new or existing solutions within all areas of enterprise development using data integration technology and services. The individual will manage debugging issues that arise with the code, tooling, or architecture used to create the applications. The individual will interact with business partners to outline their requirements and, during the development phase, ensure the accuracy and delivery of those recorded requirements.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • HANA Modeling

  • Datasphere Modeling

  • Experience in creating and managing HANA views, CDS views.

  • Experience in S/4 HANA and Datasphere Integration.

  • Experience in Embedded Analytics on S/4HANA.

  • Develop Analytical models, views, Data Flows, and Replication Flows in Datasphere.

  • Develop and maintain pipelines for data integration, processing, and retrieval from various sources using SAP SLT, SDI, and Data Services technologies.

  • Design, implement, and maintain efficient and secure databases. Ensure the integrity and performance of databases.

  • Understanding how to leverage modern application architectural components (e.g. APIs, microservices, containers) to design modular, flexible solutions.

  • Utilizing SAP Data Services to enable data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from various sources into target systems, ensuring high data quality and consistency.

  • Building OData integration for creating and consuming data APIs is a plus.

  • Building SAP Gateway interface for seamless integration with various non-SAP applications and services is a plus.

  • Stay up to date with technology evolution and innovation.

  • Keep abreast of the latest trends in data science and technology.

  • Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance data utilization.

  • Participate in establishing data governance frameworks, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, consistency, and security.

  • Performing space management and security activities.

  • On-call rotation support.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • 8 - 10 years of application design experience in various business functions.

  • Strong knowledge of database management, data processing, and data analysis techniques.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly and effectively.

  • Understand and apply Agile, DevSecOps, and other approaches for iterative development of production-ready software.

  • Understand how to design and deliver software that meets expectations for performance, business impact and user experience.

  • Understand data and integration architectures to manage, transform and exploit data across the enterprise.

  • Understand security requirements and use the frameworks and tools available to meet those requirements.

  • Understand how front-end, middleware and infrastructure components interact and how to design solutions that optimize for the environment.

  • Adapt to new ways of working and apply proactive creative problem solving in unfamiliar situations.

  • Champion delivery team processes and protocols and constantly strive for performance improvement.

  • Partner and influence effectively within and across delivery teams and with partner functions.

  • Understand business context and goals and tailor engagement to business need in order to achieve goals.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
