ManpowerGroup Security Architect in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Security Architect to design, implement, and oversee our organization’s security architecture. The Security Architect will be responsible for ensuring that our digital infrastructure is protected from emerging threats, developing security strategies, and working closely with IT and business units to align security protocols with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of security systems, be well-versed in risk management, and possess strong analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and Develop Security Architectures : Create and maintain comprehensive security architectures that address risks, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Ensure these architectures integrate with existing IT infrastructure.

  • Risk Assessment and Management : Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend security improvements. Develop mitigation strategies and prioritize actions based on risk levels.

  • Security Framework Implementation : Implement security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, CIS) to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Security Solution Design : Develop and implement security solutions that include firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), data encryption, and identity and access management (IAM) solutions.

  • Incident Response and Management : Develop and enforce security incident response plans, collaborating with security operations teams to respond to and recover from security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.

  • Secure System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) : Oversee security aspects of software development, ensuring security best practices are integrated into the SDLC, including secure coding, testing, and vulnerability management.

  • Collaboration with IT Teams : Work closely with IT infrastructure and development teams to design and implement secure system architectures, including cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.

  • Security Audits and Compliance : Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring security controls meet regulatory and business requirements. Assist with compliance efforts for GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, etc.

  • Emerging Threats and Trends : Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies, and recommend updates to security policies and controls as needed.

  • Security Awareness Training : Collaborate with the Information Security team to design and implement training programs that raise awareness across the organization about security risks and best practices.

Qualifications :

Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

Certifications :

  • Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CCSP, AWS Certified Security, or similar are preferred.

Experience :

  • 5+ years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years in a security architecture role.

  • Proven experience in designing secure architectures for complex systems, including cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Experience with security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, VPN, endpoint protection, and encryption solutions.

  • Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, and CIS Controls.

  • Strong knowledge of risk management methodologies, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessment techniques.

Technical Skills :

  • Expertise in network security, application security, encryption technologies, and secure software development practices.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud security tools and practices.

  • Proficiency in designing and implementing identity and access management (IAM) systems, including multifactor authentication (MFA).

  • Familiarity with DevSecOps and integrating security into the CI/CD pipeline.

Soft Skills :

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve security issues effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making processes.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or government is a plus.

  • Familiarity with machine learning and AI-based security solutions.

  • Experience with security automation and orchestration tools.
