The Sales Engineer position is a dynamic and challenging position that is suited for well rounded, technical individuals. Candidates must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills along with excellent problem solving and technical skills. You’ll be responsible for providing technical expertise to the Northeast Direct Sales team as well as working with the Xerox Solution Architect teams. You'll be working in a flexible hybrid model that will include time that you are remote, time that you are client facing and occasional time in the office.

Essential Functions, Duties and Accountabilities:

  • Serve as a first line of defense to help identify and qualify business development opportunities

  • Create BOMs and SOWs as defined by Solutions Architecture management

  • Skillfully engage customers and drive productive discussions

  • Work closely with key stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure the solutions developed meet these requirements

  • Articulate and position Xerox products, services, and solutions to key decision makers

  • Contribute to evaluation and selection of infrastructure services and ensure proper alignment of projects and major initiatives

  • Communicate desired technical needs to Solution Architects to create sales quotes and SOWs

  • Assist sales in presenting solution and proposal to customer

  • Sustain sales activities, appointments, proposed solutions, and database updates

  • End user and general technical sales trainings

  • Develop and maintain regional relationships with key partners within the assigned regions

Skill Requirements and Qualification

  • 5+ years of professional experience in a pre-sales, sales engineering, or related technical role

  • Great communication skills, being able to speak to both technical and business counterparts on the client-side and explain technology and solution options

  • Highly organized and self-motivated

  • Love to learn and have a strong interested in sales, technology, and customer interactions

  • Ability to travel in the Northeast US

Preferred one or more of the following:

  • MCSE

  • CCNA

  • VCP

  • BS Computer Science or related

  • Equivalent work experience
