The Med/Surg float Staff Nurse will be responsible for:
Joining our growing staff of over 80 medical/surgical nurses in this unique opportunity to learn and develop.
Providing competent nursing care to patients and their families in a variety of inpatient settings including the surgical, medical, oncology and neuroscience inpatient units, which range from 14 beds to 44 beds, with patient ratios of 1:3-4.
Potential for cross training in additional areas including Emergency Department, Gastroenterology Procedure Unit (GPU), IV Team, PACU, Center for Ambulatory Treatment & Clinical Research (CAT/CR), and Inpatient Psychiatry.
Working collaboratively to provide family-centered care as a member of a multidisciplinary team that provides expert care.
Attending to the full range of human experiences and responses to health and illness without restriction to a problem-focus orientation.
Providing a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing.
Opportunities to be involved in hospital-wide committees and to precept nursing students and new float nurses.
24 hours, 30 hours, 36 hours or 40 hours available.
To qualify, you must have:
BSN degree.
1 year of inpatient acute pediatric medical/surgical RN experience. Experience with a wide range of diagnoses required .
Ability to work 50% Day/Night rotations, every third weekend, and flexibility of availability required. Straight nights with every third weekend also available.
Additional $5/hour incentive for all hours worked.
The ICU float Staff Nurse will be responsible for:
Joining an innovative critical care float pool to meet the ever changing staffing needs across the Critical Care and Cardiovascular program.
Providing competent nursing care to patients (newborn – adult) and their families across all 4 ICUs (Medical ICU, Medical/Surgical ICU, Neonatal ICU and Cardiac ICU).
Working collaboratively with all interdisciplinary ICU teams.
Ability to work 50% Day/Night rotations, every third weekend, and flexibility of availability required. Straight nights with every third weekend also available.
To qualify, you must have:
BSN degree
1 year of inpatient pediatric ICU RN experience required. Experience with a wide range of diagnoses required.
