Our research is at the forefront of developmental biology, focusing on unraveling the gene regulatory networks that dictate cell identity and behavior. Utilizing a blend of spatial genomics, single-cell analysis, and classical developmental biology techniques, we aim to shed light on pattern formation and cell fate commitment during early vertebrate embryogenesis.

Job Description General Summary

Under minimal supervision, performs a variety of routine and specialized laboratory experimental, specimen preparations and experimental procedures for the purpose of research. Utilizes specialized laboratory equipment and analysis of data generated by this equipment. May contribute to experimental design.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Independently decides which techniques may be appropriate for specific experimental investigations and carries out those experiments with minimal supervision or independently.

  • Critically evaluates experimental results independently and provides summaries or interpretation of results to PI. RA II plus under minimal supervision.

  • Contributes to the team within and between departments and organizations.

  • Coaches RA I and RA II, interns, Co Ops on basic lab techniques.

  • Calculates, graphs and compiles data obtained, maintaining records and logs of work performed; uses computer to perform statistical analyses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, AND a minimum three years of relevant experience OR Master’s of Science AND one year of relevant work experience

  • Analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring the use of scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and in depth, experienced based knowledge

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
