Kelly Services Property Accountant in Boston, Massachusetts
Kelly has a wonderful opportunity for a Property Accountant in the Boston, MA area with 2-3 years of General Accounting experience who is ready for a new challenge!
Our great partner is a modern Property Investment Firm in the Downtown Crossing area of Boston. This is a Direct Hire opportunity with a starting salary of $70,000 , an excellent benefits package, and a hybrid schedule with 4 days in-office and 1 day remote . In this job, you will be an integral part of a growing team working both individually and collaboratively. Reporting to and learning from the Accounting Manager, you will grow your career by gaining critical experience with a highly motivated team and culture.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Prepare monthly accrual based financial statements
• Ensure timely processing of all vendor payments
• Make recommendations regarding the accounting of assets and expenditures
• Maintain monthly cash and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist in the preparation of budgets
• Assist in the coordination of annual reviews and audits
• Assist in special projects as needed
Skills and requirements:
• 2 – 3 years of General Accounting experience required. Property Accounting is a huge plus!
• Proficiency with Appfolio or other Accounting/Finance software applications
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Property/Real Estate Accounting coursework and/or internship experience preferred
• Proficiency with Excel
• Ability to work in a small environment independently demonstrating flexibility and juggling various tasks
• Ability to work in a Windows environment, business applications, and standard current computer applications
Education:
• BS/BA Degree in Finance or Accounting or related field of study is required
