Insight Global Project Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Description

A Technology Service provider that supports the Secretary of State Office of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is sourcing for a Project Manager. Joining this team allows you to support legacy applications for News & Events, Records, Publications, Services and more. You will be responsible for maintenance of the many applications within the Secretary's department, along with being involved in implementations, modernizations and optimizations to futurize the applications. When joining you may be managing a home grown legacy system, data reliability & data preservation projects, or a cyber security footprint. To be successful in this position, you must be highly technical with tools like Jira and M365 tools including MS Project, and Visio. You will be joining a team of 4 other project managers and collaborate closely with the project management team, as well as the technical staff to recommend tools and technologies to deliver the projects. The first 6 weeks, you will join in an orientation program to learn about the Secretary's office and the applications and projects you will be supporting. You must be comfortable commuting onsite to downtown Boston every day of the orientation program. Following the first month, you will be required to be onsite 3 days per week, and 2 days working remotely. Compensation: $65.00/hr to $70.00/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, Administration, or a related field. And completion of a project management curriculum.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager and 3+ years working on project management system or software integration projects.

  • Expertise in tools such as Jira, and Microsoft Office, including MS Project and Visio.

  • Holistic background of managing different projects ranging from legacy systems to modernizing software applications, maintenance projects, and/or working on data or cybersecurity projects

  • Seeking a dynamic individual with a proven background in leadership abilities and the confidence to drive team success and organizational growth. * PMP Certification

  • Knowledge of web applications, Microsoft, .NET architecture, and relational database concepts. null
