Responsibilities:
Provide assistance in the daily care of health impaired older adults or individuals in our care with brain injuries, intellectual/ developmental disabilities, emotional or behavioral disability or mental diagnosis.
Assist with the development and implementation of individual and group activity programs, and responsible for the care, safety, security, and social/recreation activities for the individuals receiving support.
Provide guidance with social skills, advocacy and self-esteem and teach strategies to live as independently as possible.
Transport to medical appointments, errands, shopping or activities in the community.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or its equivalent and must be 18 years of age
Minimum one year experience in providing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, preferably with older adults
Competence in CPR and First Aid
Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills to manage relationships
A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach
