Support CBRE’s Data Center Solutions (DCS) strategy to ensure the business needs are met of value for money, quality delivery and risk management. To support the DCS business by educating, influencing and advising key stakeholders on procurement best practice concurrent with effective supplier management and development of CBRE suppliers, resulting in exceptional standard of performance and contribution towards long-term growth and profitability.

Primary Objectives:

Support Business Units to manage existing and new supply chains

· Support mobilization of supply chain for new contracts – agree strategy and objectives, working with the mobilization team and the client to influence and facilitate the appropriate supply strategy.

· Support ongoing contract activities; understand customer, strategy and objectives, monitor and assist in delivery.

· Increase compliance to preferred supplier contracts through activities such as analysis of spend, rationalization of suppliers, promoting benefits of preferred suppliers and influencing Contract Managers on supplier choice.

Supplier identification, selection and negotiation

· Review and analyze current spend to maintain comprehensive knowledge of supply base and contract status and identify value improvement opportunities by reducing overall costs and improving service delivery.

· Review market to identify new and alternative suppliers to meet CBRE’s needs – including new sectors.

· Ensure suppliers are safe, sustainable and appropriately accredited.

· Develop contractual arrangements with suppliers that are recognized for delivering best value, including high quality service delivery to CBRE and its customers.

· Work with preferred suppliers in order to deliver best value, cost savings and service level improvements, achieving high quality and standardization across DCS.

· Conduct regular performance reviews with suppliers to maintain effective relationships and identify value improvement opportunities.

Supplier management

· Promote performance management, innovation and continuous improvement to contracts and discuss how to replicate supplier improvements success to other CBRE contracts for mutual benefit.

· Actively benchmark suppliers on price and capability to drive best value.

Category and supply chain development

· Develop and implement category strategies for selected categories, sectors and localities; ensure strategies are fit for purpose for DCS and region.

· Identify and realize opportunities to optimize the number of suppliers and leverage high performing suppliers.

· Work with DCS procurement teams in other regions, as well as other CBRE teams within region, to share category expertise and drive broader alignment of efforts.

Educate and advise on procurement best practice

· Develop procurement expertise for internal stakeholders in DCS.

· Advise on CBRE supply chain capabilities and participate in supplier meetings with contract teams within the DCS business.

· Promote and champion the use of CBRE procurement tools to deliver benefit to each contract.

· Support the communication of procurement strategies within DCS and the region, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and included in decision making, share information and best practice across business units.

Collaborative De velopment of the business .

· Work effectively with teams in region and across DCS.

· Contribute to the development and implementation of CBRE procurement strategies and initiatives within DCS. Partner with Central Procurement teams and those in other divisions to develop and share best practice and technical expertise.

· Work with QHSE, Finance and Commercial Teams in support of customer needs.

Key Tasks:

· Develop and implement DCS procurement strategies and plans that result in meeting company and divisional financial objectives and growth and retention strategies

· Deliver targeted savings and performance improvement benefits

· Responsible for adherence to the overall CBRE Procurement strategies, policies and procedures

· Build relationships with key customers to actively promote CBRE’s procurement capability and to demonstrate the wider value add of the CBRE business to drive increased new business and customer retention

· Develop and maintain a strong network of supportive stakeholders that continuously promote procurement as a valued contributor to the success of the DCS and the company

· Identify and establish the supply chain in new markets and territories to support CBRE’s growth objectives

· Develop contractual arrangements with preferred suppliers that are recognized for delivering best value and high quality service delivery to CBRE and its customers

· Develop and maintain relationships at appropriate levels within strategic and preferred supplier organizations

· Ensure that the DCS supply chain is safe, sustainable and appropriately accredited and establish the appropriate mechanisms for continual risk management and performance improvement of the supply chain

· Develop and implement SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) strategies and plans with key suppliers that establish CBRE as a customer of choice in the market place and delivers value over and above what would normally be achieved

· Develop and implement category strategies for elected categories leveraging the wider CBRE market position that ensure the client requirements and CBRE business needs are met

· Develop and implement communication mechanisms within the region to ensure that all stakeholders are informed and engaged in the delivery of procurement strategies

· Participate in new business bid process, providing procurement expertise to the bid teams to enable CBRE to tender competitively

· Support the mobilization of new client contracts, leading the procurement stream and working with the mobilization team and the client to influence and facilitate the appropriate supply strategy

· Input to regional planning activities with horizons of typically 1 to 4 years

Core Competencies:

· CPSM qualified, in-progress, or eligible; or equivalent with operational experience of managing and working within diverse and complex organization and/ or relevant 5+yrs procurement experience

· Customer focused, with excellent influencing and communication skills.

· The ability to work with and influence a broad range and level of stakeholders and supplier staff.

· Collaborative approach, with the ability to maximize short term while building upon long-term productive relationships.

· Highly accountable for own performance and delivery of outcomes

· Thrive on working within a fast paced organization across the region, with a diverse supply base and wide geographical spread of contracts.

· Strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of identifying and delivering substantial savings.

· Proficient analytical skills and a measured approach to decision making.

· Specific experience in the sourcing of FM & Hard services will be beneficial

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field from four-year College and/or University. Minimum of two years of related experience and/or training. Minimum five years experience in procurement of real estate or facility management services and supplies.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

C.P.M., C.P.S.M. or N.A.C.M. certifications or eligibility preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite. Working knowledge of database reporting and platform manipulation. Familiarity with use of contracts management tools and platforms.
