Pearson Process Implementation Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

The Process Implementation Manager (PIM) is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives across School Assessment with a focus on enhancing efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for supports the ongoing needs of the business while ensuring best practices are implemented throughout the organization. You will work closely with and lead cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices to streamline processes and reduce redundancy resulting in a culture of excellence. Advocate of continuous improvement methodologies and tools across the business and are responsible for ensuring adoption.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Enhance roles, responsibilities, and processes through close collaboration with functional area leadership and Sales & Contract Management within these key areas:

  • Schedule development and management

  • Scope management

  • Cost (hours) tracking and management

  • Risk and issue management

  • New Customer Onboarding

  • Facilitate cross-functional teams and Sales & Contract Management to identify opportunities for improvement, develop action plans and implement standard best practices.

  • Collaborate and engage with key stakeholders and provide regular updates on progress of process improvement initiatives, including successes, challenges, and next steps.

  • Assists in the development of process solutions to a wide range of difficult problems ensuring consistency with organization objective.

  • Train and mentor team members on process improvement methodologies and techniques to build internal capability and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Performing regular process evaluations and adherence to process by key team members and teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management information systems, or equivalent field.

  • 8+ years of combined professional experience in project/program management, and solutions consulting, preferably related to educational/learning industry and/or publishing.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; must be a direct, articulate, and thoughtful communicator.

  • Comfortable leading critical conversations and issue resolution.

  • Robust organizational development and change management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills.

  • Proficient with Smartsheet, office productivity and program/portfolio management software.

  • Ability to understand, analyze and communicate risk and issue management process.

  • Financial experience – budget and P&L preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • Must have strong time management and project management skills including the ability to work well under pressure, plan and set priorities, adapt to change, and meet established timelines.

  • Must possess a consultative approach with stakeholders; easily develop rapport and trust with multiple individuals and personalities; encourages and supports collaboration.

  • Ability to build credibility with leaders and drive initiatives across the organization.

  • Able to work both on a team (as member and/or leader) and independently to deliver results.

  • Self-directed/self-sufficient work ethic.

Work Environment:

  • Flexible and collaborative with occasional travel.

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:

The minimum full-time salary range is between $80K - $93K.
