MassMutual Private Credit Operations Analyst (Remote) in Boston, Massachusetts
As a Private Credit Operations Analyst, you will report to the Head of Investment On-boarding and Administration primarily supporting our Direct Private Investments program’s operations. You will work directly with our portfolio managers and external borrowers to support a smooth closing process. You will have exposure to a diverse level of both internal and external stakeholders through your day-to-day work. As a Private Credit Operations Analyst, you are an integral part of our overall Investment Management strategy and the work that you do in this role is a critical part of making it all come together.
The Direct Private Investments (“DPI”) program is a team within MassMutual Investment Management (“IM”)’s Alternative Investments group. IM manages the asset allocation and asset liability management for MassMutual’s $200 billion General Investment Account (“GIA”). DPI (Direct Private Investments) focuses upon customized proprietary secured loans to major investment organizations backed by a range of assets and has originated approximately $12.0 billion in private direct investments over the last three years. These loans are highly negotiated with the borrowers and may be retained solely for MassMutual’s own portfolio or participated to similar institutional investors. This cross-functional team is small and highly collaborative.
As a Private Credit Operations Analyst your primary responsibilities will be to ensure a timely and accurate delivery of operational tasks required to support deal closings, on-going compliance monitoring and vendor oversight. These facilities represent attractive investments for MassMutual’s GIA while addressing the unique financing needs of our strategic business partners, who are typically world-class alternative investment managers. You will leverage financial and accounting acumen to represent the investment and operations teams with relevant corporate functions, such as finance and risk, as well as external service providers in understanding complex fund and lending structures while assuring that DPI facilities minimize risk and maximize operational flexibility and efficiency within these structures.
The Minimum Qualifications
At least 4 years of relevant investment, investment operations/support experience
Prior experience with investing or servicing private equity, private real estate, or privatecreditor lending documents
Advanced-to-Mastery level Excel skills (v-lookups, index matching functions, complex conditional formatting)
Strong collaborative working
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively,while working within tight deadlines
Mature communication and interpersonal skills that allow you to work in a team environment and with outside constituents
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Power Point and Word; BI (Tableau, etc.) VBA and Visio experience a plus).

Target salary range: $80,000-$105,000 plus applicable bonus
